🤷♂️ Why are we doing this?
We’re a group of finance students from the ANU who started The Weekly Charge after realizing how overwhelming it can be to dive into finance news.
Sick of filler articles, blatant ads, impossible-to-understand jargon, or just irrelevant information … we decided to create a solution: a free, student-led weekly newsletter.
Since we’ve been told by our professors to read the news anyway, why not share our insights? Think of it as a friendly blog from your fellow finance peers—nothing fancy, just delivering you news in a free, casual, no bullsh*t way.
A Weekly Summary of the Top 5 Most Important Finance Happenings
A Synopsis of Important Global Happenings
A Weekly Glossary of Complex Terms
All Delivered in a Light-Hearted, Straight-Foward, and Conversational Tone via Cute Email Bundle

We cut through the clutter so you don’t have to. Every week, we filter out the fluff (ads, paywalls, opinion pieces, and filler articles) to deliver only the essentials straight to your inbox—just once a week, no spam, no hassle.
We also have a section on global happenings for events that we don’t deem as ‘finance-related’.
-
Every day, we track and analyse the latest finance news. By week’s end, we handpick five standout stories that we believe highlight the heartbeat of the industry.
These stories are summarised into a clear, concise email—giving you a quick yet insightful overview of the week in finance, and leaving you plenty of time to study.

Trust me when I say there isn’t a shortage of daily finance summaries out there but through our own experience and market research, we believe finance news can be condensed even more.
If you’re already subscribed to a daily newsletter (and read them every single day 🤥), no stress, treat us like a weekly recap.
